Lovely People Booked my flights into Belfast a day early, so decided to hop on the train down to Dundalk. The place is perfect, 5 min walk from the train station and 5 minutes into town. Room was grand, clean and tidy with fresh towels and most importantly quiet. I was also running late in the morning and the lovely Helena ran me into town and then dropped me at the station. Another wonderful stay at Glen Gat House Always a warm and friendly welcome from Tim and Helena at Glen Gat House. This family run Guesthouse has always been a favourite of mine since I first started staying there over 20 years ago. It is very comfortable and quiet and breakfast is excellent. Very Friendly Glen Gat was so nice, the family who own the B&B were so friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and plenty of heat and both rooms had ensuite. Unique and wonderful As someone who travels all over Ireland with work, staying in hotels, guest houses etc every week, Glen Gat b&b is up there with some of the nicest places that I stay in. Its an example of good old fashioned Irish homely welcome and service. Helena and her staff are brilliant and it's obvious that they care about their service and they've a real commitment to applying this service. The rooms are really nice, and clean and well serviced. Breakfast is fresh and to order. When we are in the louth area, we prefer to stay in Glen Gat than other hotels. Its like visiting friends. the place to go Great B&B we stayed for weekend. Very nice welcome from Helena who presented a very nice room. This venue is very well kept in a superb location everything is close at hand. Second day we went to Dundalk races and Helena offered to drive us over.Talk about going the extra mile. Food is excellent. You will make a sound choice if you go here. Professional, friendly, accomding. Had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Glen Gat House B and B for a short stay with friends. From the moment I entered the door to the moment I left. Staff are absolutely amazing and the owners are very professional. Breakfast is fantastic and topped off with very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Absolutely fantastic ! Wonderful Stay The host and location are amazing. The rooms are comfy but some can be a little dated. The host really cares about identifying local things you might like and making sure your experience is great. The food served for breakfast was fantastic.
