Glen Gat House has been a family-run home away from home in Dundalk for over 30 years. Tim and Catherine, together with their daughter Helena and her husband Declan, welcome every guest with genuine warmth and care.

Catherine joined the guesthouse full-time in 1990, leaving her job as a legal secretary to bring her attention to detail to every stay. Tim, who worked in Customs and Excise, retired early in 2005 to help run the B&B, sharing his love of hospitality with every guest. Helena, a local broadcaster and content creator, brings her creativity and passion for social media to the guesthouse, helping share Glen Gat House’s story with the community and beyond. Her husband, Declan, recently joined the team after almost 20 years as a manager with M&S, bringing his wealth of experience in customer service and team management.

Together with a thriving multicultural team, the family prides themselves on making every guest feel at home — from cosy rooms and hearty breakfasts to sharing the best local food, nightlife, and activities. At Glen Gat House, your stay is personal, welcoming, and offers a step back in time in this beautiful Victorian-era home, where old meets new.
